Silver Spring, Maryland – Dale W. Tomhave, 88, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the home of his son. He was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, son of Albert W. and Elaine Colson Tomhave. After military service during World War II, he lived in the Bay Area of San Francisco, California, for many years where he managed government communication contracts for Pacific Telephone. Mr. Tomhave and his late wife, Birdie Ouida Graham Tomhave, moved to Savannah in 1992 where they were members of St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his sons, Eric Tomhave and his wife, Tracy Newbold, of Silver Spring, MD; Brad Tomhave and his wife, Cindi Tomhave, of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Molly, Maxwell, Samantha, Olivia and Sydney Tomhave.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2012, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Graveside Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2012, in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, conducted by The Reverend Stephen Norris.
